Mobile Scaffold Delivery in Wellington, NZ
All you need to know about hiring and using Staffy scaffold towers
Mobile scaffold towers can be a cost effective and safer alternative to working from ladders. The tower’s platform gives space to move around and store tools whilst you are working, reducing the need to constantly get up and down from height.
Scaffold towers can be set up by one person in 15 minutes and are ideal for tradies, DIY projects, painting or maintenance on your property.
Set up on uneven ground using adjustable feet or wheels to keep the scaffold level.
Staffy scaffolds are manufactured from high diameter aluminium tubing making them more robust and durable than many cheap alternatives imported into NZ.
Choosing the correct scaffold
When choosing a scaffold tower it is important to take into account the height of the area you need to reach.
Scaffold towers are measured from the ground to the top of the handrails. When using a scaffold tower it in important to have handrails 1m above the platform.
Therefore it is important to determine the maximum height you need to reach to complete your project.
Max reach height = Platform height + 2m
For example; you want to paint the highest point of your house which is 6m high.
For this job you would need a 5m tower – The 5m high tower has a maximum platform height of 4m plus 2m being the height an adult can reach allows you to paint the area 6m high.

Four and five meter towers are supplied with adjustable outriggers (diagonal braces) to stabilise the tower from falling.
